Remarks

Between 2005 and 2007 political discussion about costs of maintaining the MiGs. Eventually they were grounded for a some time and even proposed for sale!


March 2010: a great plans of purchase fighter aircrafts, surface-to-air missile systems, helicopters, air-defense radars and armaments for Bangladesh Air Force, unveiled by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during annual exercises WINTEX-2010 at the base at Kurmitola inside Dhaka Cantonment, watching flying display and intercepting operations.

So, Bangladesh will order a new MiGs-29 in SMT or M version, which will be delivered between 2011-2012.

Now, 2010, MiGs returned to service. There's informations about 14 active aircrafts.


Bangladeshi MiG-29 in 4-tones camouflage.
It's a few aircrafts in Bangladesh, in three or four patterns of shapes, very similar each to each, always in four shades of blue.
Difficult to draw, because a lack of good photos.
