Remarks

Iraq ordered in USSR 48 aircrafts in total, but the order was realised only partially in 1987 and 1988.

Standard camouflage. On all photos of Iraqi MiGs-29 before war, about 1989, it's always the same aircrafts with number ٢٩٠٦٠ (29060).

During First Gulf War in January 1991 four* were destroyed by USAF F-15:

19 January 1991 - MiG-29** by two F-15C (58th TFS / 33th TFW) - pil. Cesar Antonio Rodriguez

In 1991 four aircrafts flown to Iran and probably were incorporated to Iranian air force, as many other types (for example about fourty [!] Sukhois Su-24).


During Second Gulf War in 2003 some were destroyed on the ground, some hiding by Iraqis in sand, digging after war. Few lasts in desert after war, in state of a debris (I've count four on photos 2003-2004). Iraqi Air Force (Al Quwwa al Jawwiya al Iraqiya) don't have MiGs after war.
