Since 2004 emblem of the regiment is so called godło kościuszkowskie (Kosciuszko's emblem): traditions of 7th Eskadra (1920) and 303rd Squadron in Great Britain - 2nd World War

At the end of 2000 a regiment 1 Pułk Lotnictwa Myśliwskiego "Warszawa" was disbanded, so mermaid lost letters "plm", but still lefton aircrafts.

2004-2007 overhauled. Till the end of 2007 15 aircraft was overhauled (4101, 4103, 4104, 4105, 4110, 4111, 4112, 4113, 4115, 4116, 4118, 4120, 4121, 4122, 4123), except MiGs in ICAO-II standard (probably will not be overhauled and will be used as source of spare parts). January 2008: probably two (unkown identification) ex-german MiGs are in air school (Wyższa Szkoła Oficerska SIł Powietrznych, Dęblin), one (4114) in Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna, Warszawa, few remains in Wojskowe Zakłady Remontowe, Bydgoszcz (4119 for sure). January 2008: about 30 MiGs in service in two squadrons: 1st Tactical Fighter Aviation Squadron at Minsk Mazowiecki and 41st Tactical Fighter Aviation Squadron at Malbork. September 2008 one of ex-german MiG-29 (29+06) was passed from WZL-2 to Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa (State Profession High School) at Chełm. Fictious number 2001, still in german camouflage. November 2008 status of 41 elt at Malbork: 4101 4103 4104 4105 4110 4113 4116 4120 4121 4122 4123 and overtaken from Minsk (overhauled): 65 66 70 77 92 = 16 in total. Currently overhauled (XI.2008) in WZL-2 facilities at Bydgoszcz: 28, 38, 56, 59, 89. Ex-German MiGs (XI.2008):
