Remarks

March 2008 talks with Russia about deliveries of 5 MiGs (about 75 mln USD) for Sri Lankan Air Force, to fight with Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eealan, altogether with four modernized MiG-27.

September 2008: five MiG-29 arrived to Sri Lanka from SOKOL plants at Nizhnyi Novgorod: 4 x MiG-29SM (2 x 9-12 and 2 x 9-13) and one MiG-29UB.
